How will the divisions be set up?
We will match and create divisions based on age, not weight.
The age groups will be split as follows: 4-5 years, 6-8 years, 9-12 years, 13-17 years, and 18+.
What combat sports divisions will be offered at the tournament?
Kickboxing, Modified Muay Thai, Wrestling, Skrappling, and Point Sparring
What equipment is required?
All youth and adult groups must provide their own complete sparring gear:
- Head gear (required)
- Gloves (required)
- Chest protector
- Shin guard with instep protector
In teen and adult groups, no cloth shin guards are allowed.
Minimum 14oz gloves must be worn for competitors 139 lbs and under. For competitors 140 lbs and over, 16oz gloves are required.
What time are the events?
- 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM: Youth Division Check-In
- 10:00 AM: Youth Matches Begin
- 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM: Adult Division Check-In
- 12:00 PM: Adult Matches Begin
* Matches for the hard sparring division will be made day of. No winner will be announced for full-contact hard sparring.
Rules
- Matches will consist of 2 rounds lasting 1.5 minutes each.
- No headshots allowed.
- Only allowed to kick and punch the torso (front of the body) and legs.
- No clinching or grabbing allowed.
- No knees to the body are allowed.
- Only striking blows with feet and hands.
- The competitors must wear full gear: boxing gloves, foot and shinguards, headgear, and a chest protector.
- Headgear is required. Body protection is not necessary.
